Readers Beware!

In the early 1970's, psychologist Roger Bandell gathered a group of avid readers into his San Francisco laboratory. The subjects were varied in age, gender and educational level. The purpose of Bendell's study was to examine brain activity during reading. Their first ten books, lasting over a three month time span, proved that reading does indeed increase brain activity. Bandell, however, was unsatisfied with the results. "It'w one thing to watch the waves of brain activity on an electrograph but when compating Herman Melville's Moby Dick with William Shakespeare's Hamlet... there's absolutely no difference. The electrographs look identical."

Over the years, Bandell not only increased the number of subjects but also sought out a multitude of writers of varying aptitude. In the June 1987 interview of Scientific Validity, Bandell held a gun against his temple and cried, "The goddamned electrographs look the same! What the hell's going on here? Nothing works. Nothing!" Luckily, there were no bullets in the chamber.

In 2002, Bandell suddenly discovered some remarkable improvements upon his research. The electrographs took on a different form from one another. It all had to do with the writing from an undiscovered wanderer, Sazer Lazer. Shortly after his discovery, Bandell suffered from a fatal heart attack.

Over the past six months, several of the more recent subjects have reported that they are suffering from sudden blindness.
